Going for a walk has many benefits

Most people I know, know that walking is fun, and it is relaxing, and as an extra benefit, it is even good for your health.

But what are these benefits?

When you know the health benefits, you will find it easier to stick to a walking routine!
These health benefits will give you all the motivation you will ever need to get out there!

The first benefit is rather obvious.

1. Nothing beats fresh air and a healthy dose of sunshine.

Simply going outside for a walk will give you this.
It does not matter if you decide to go fast or go slow.
Fresh air will fill your lungs either way.
As your lungs breathe in oxygen and your skin bathes in sunshine, you will start to feel better.
Automatically!

For your health and well-being, oxygen and sunshine are both important.
{But don’t forget sunscreen to protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun }
Normally the quality all the air that you breathe will be better outside than inside an office or a house.
Sunshine, of course, will help your body produce all the vitamin D that it needs.

But you can up your sense of balance and coordination when you move your head around to the right and left for a count of 30.
Then for another 30 counts move your head up and down.

Walking might be considered a low impact form of exercise, but it does strengthen and tone your body.
As you become fitter and get into a better shape, you can consider adding weight lifting exercises do your daily routine.

5. Get in a creative state of mind

When you got a tricky problem, and you can’t find the solution, going for a walk gets can spark your creativity.
Taking your mind off the problem often does the trick.
So whenever you feel stuck at work, or you are looking for that one creative solution go for a walk!

6. Bring your risk down of getting a chronic disease

Your overall risk of getting diabetes can be reduced by walking.
Walking lowers your blood sugar levels, and it lowers your blood pressure and so reduces the risk the risk of a stroke.
With an active hobby such as walking, you will slash the possibility of getting type 2 diabetes, and you’re less likely to develop cancer of the breast, womb or colon.

When you establish one routine, it’ll be easier for you to work on establishing another routine.

Because you’re already succeeded in accomplishing one goal, the regular walking routine, you will feel more confident inserting your mind to go all to achieve another target.

8. All in all, walking will surely boost your mood.

And whenever you’re feeling tired, or you are in a bad mood put on your sneakers and go for a walk.
Brisk walks and running have even helped people fight depression.
