CoSchedule Review. Content planning calendar and social media Marketing Calendar
After an absence of over I year, I decided to become active again on the internet.
In 2015 I took down my websites and cut down on the usage of social media, except the bare minimum to keep in touch with family and close friends.
Next, I planned to pick up sports, lose weight, spend more time with family amongst many other things.
For 2017 I decided to start blogging again as an outlet for my creativity.
Besides, running and managing a WordPress website can be fun, and rewarding.
Above all, I also wanted to have something to do.
One thing I decided right from the beginning is that I would try to do a decent job blogging.
And I would go at it alone!
Except for my wife Karin (and our friend Kate) who occasionally helps me with writing and posting articles on the blog.
And for that help, I am enormously grateful 😉
Strangely enough one of the hurdles I ran into immediately was organization.
Or the lack of organization to be more precise 😉
How can I keep track of my ideas, how should I manage writing the content and posting frequently and last but not least how will I be able to promote my blog using social media?
What I needed was:
- A content planning calendar
- A social media planning calendar
Wouldn’t it be great to have a calendar at your fingertips where you can see everything that is in the planning at once?
First of all, what I was looking for was an all inclusive (marketing) planner, combining blogging, social media, and every content type I would create into a single, editorial calendar.
And this is where CoSchedule came to my rescue.
So, without further ado, here is my CoSchedule Review!

Writing an article for on your blog is one thing, getting it promoted and read is a different matter.
What happens after you posted your blog entry?
If you are lucky, or Internet savvy or both you probably have an automated system in place.
Of course, this system should help you to spread the news of your latest blog post to the web.
Maybe you’ll tweet about your post, and perhaps you’ll put a link on your Facebook page.
All too often you will have no idea if these promotional efforts are successful.
Let alone that you have a system in place to replicate any promotional successes you have.
It’s a Content Marketing & Editorial Calendar for WordPress!
Although you can use it without haveing a WordPress blog!
“Blog smarter and share further than ever before is one of their mottos.”

“I use CoSchedule to promote … and to re-promote my most popular posts on a regular basis.
It is a one-stop solution since I can post to every social media channel from within WordPress.
It is simple, elegant and an indispensable part of my toolbox.”

CoSchedule Review 2017: Recap:
For me, CoSchedule’s Editorial WordPress Calendar (A WordPress Plugin) proved to be the missing link in my content marketing.
For starters, I can organize when I need to work on the material when it gets’s posted and reposted.
And I can monitor how successful it has been.
Now, I save time and grow traffic by scheduling blog posts and social media at the same time!
That sounds like music in my (bloggers) ears!
You’ll find a screenshot of my calendar below!
As a blogger, it is my new best friend.
- I can create your social media messages while I am in my WordPresss dashboard.
- I can see everything in one place in a unified drag and drop calendar.
- It is all integrated with the most important social media tools.
Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook (Profiles, Pages & Groups), Pinterest, LinkedIn (Profiles & Pages), Instagram, Google+ (Profiles, Pages).
- I can even assign tasks to others and open conversation among them.
- All of the tools are in the one place.
- I can easily schedule more social media messages
- The analytics is great and helps identify my best content so that I can share those pieces more often.
Even if you do not sign up to try the program don’t miss the opportunity to write better headlines using their free BLOG POST Headline Analyzer.
This tool helped me come up with four Headlines to chose from:
- An Astonishing Marketing Calendar That Will Blow Your Mind
- An Astonishing Calendar That Will Blow Your Mind
